If you’ve ever owned a single cup coffee brewer, (looking at you k-cup Keurig type machines) then you know how easy it is to make a single cup.
However, what about when you want more than a cup? Or God forbid you have several guests? You know how much of a pain it is to dispense the hot coffee grinds and make another cup.
If this scenario is all too familiar than you should consider the Cuisinart DCC-3000. This coffee maker lets you choose how much coffee you would like to pour into your cup with just a press of a button, but you can add more coffee grounds into the permanent, cup-cake shaped, gold filter to make up to 12 cups.
The thing you’ll immediately notice is the actuator on the the front. Which is kind of like fuel gauge, except it tells you how much coffee is in the reservoir inside the machine. Some users have complained that it can be off sometimes.
Another big plus is that it prevents your coffee from burning while keeping it hot inside the reservoir (it doesn’t warm your cup). Your coffee can stay hot at the optimum temperature of 190° degrees. Which is a little on the hot side (180° being ideal). So, if you prefer piping hot coffee, this is your machine.
It is carafe free and doesn’t need much space. Perfect for those who only need a cup at a time on the go, hate cleaning carafes, and low on counter real estate.
It comes apart very easily. The water tank on the side is removable. Then inside the filter comes out, and under that plastic cone and reservoir can be removed to be thoroughly cleaned. Keep in mind there is a self cleaning button to descale when necessary. The water reservoir takes charcoal water filters that are provided too.
The DCC-3000 is programable, easy to clean, practical and well designed.
